Overview


Galco Locomotive Governor Oil is a multi-grade 9 TBN, ashless-dispersant, non-zinc, non-chlorinated, high-viscosity index oil.

Designed to meet the demands of modern marine heavy-duty diesel engines, Red Giant Marine Engine Oil 20W-40 is a multi-grade 11 TBN oil specially formulated to be ashless dispersant, non-zinc, non-chlorinated. It’s an LMOA Generation 7 engine oil that is approved by Progress Rail (formerly EMD) and Wabtec (formerly GE).

Applications


Recommended for turbo-charged or naturally-aspirated marine heavy-duty diesel engines and also stationary engine applications. Red Giant Marine Engine Oil does not contain any zinc additives and therefore it is purpose-designed for use in engines that have silver alloy bearings.


Red Giant Marine Engine Oil 20W-40 is approved for use in the following applications:

  • EMD 567, 645, 710 and 1010 engines, meeting EPA Tier 4 and previous emission standards
  • In GE diesel engines where low and ultra-low sulphur fuels are used, including Tier 4 emission level and backwards compatible to prior levels

Compressor 5000HR+ Zinc Free 68 is formulated for use in many applications that require protection against rust and oxidation, but do not require anti-wear or extreme pressure additives.

Applications


Recommended for steam and gas turbines, air compressors and many hydraulic applications. It is also recommended for service in most axial piston pumps (high pressure and high output).


  • Its low-ash level permit its use in automated machine tools and mobile or stationary applications that have stringent filterability requirements
  • Meets the application as gear oil where API GL-1 service is specified
  • Widely used where non-detergent motor oil (API SA) is specified
